Biography
In his 15 years as one of the leading artists in electronic music, Australian songwriter, composer, record producer and DJ tyDi, née Tyson Illingworth, has seen, heard and done it all.
Through his extensive discography that includes five full-length albums, countless singles and remixes, and numerous EPs across diverse genres, tyDi topped global charts, toured the world and made an indelible mark on the music world.
Since his time at Australia’s prestigious Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where he received a bachelor’s degree in music and music technology and subsequently “Young Outstanding Alumnus of the Year” for his contributions to the music industry, Illingworth has dreamed of branching out to multiple arenas of the music field.
Currently, he divides his time between a diverse range of projects spanning film score, musical composition for live choreographed shows and contemporary music that can be heard on the radio today.
Classics, re-imagined.
tyDi re-imagined multiple classic Disney songs for the latest 2018 and 2019 incarnation of the world famous ‘Disney on Ice’ shows. A unique experience that tapped into Illingworth's strengths as both a producer and a composer, he was asked to re-create completely new versions of the songs and meld them to suit the choreography as it was being finessed on the ice. Recording live players, new vocalists and re-arranging the songs, tyDi added his staple sound and production style to music that now tours the world to stadiums of Disney fans.

In this original musical composition tyDi brings a touch of mystery, class and family warmth to a holiday themed ad for Swarovski and Elle, again showing his diversity as a composer.
A sophisticated collaboration.
tyDi wrote, composed (with jazz violinist Gabriel Majou), recorded, engineered and produced original music for a brand collaboration between Stella Artois and Harper’s Bazaar.

tyDi’s 6th full length album, Collide, debuted at #2 on iTunes Dance Album Chart (USA), and simultaneously appeared on Billboard’s Classical and Dance top selling album charts. Collide is a collaboration with 2 X GRAMMY award winning composer and seasoned vet Christopher Tin. A continuation of his 2014 worldwide chart-topping album Redefined, the 12-song album unveils tyDi’s latest artistic evolution as a songwriter and producer, traversing many styles and sounds.

TYDI's music was featured in the opening scene of episode 2 (Season 1) of the 2019 FOX TV show 'Almost Family'.
Credit Where Credit’s Due.
tyDi composed, recorded, engineered and produced original music for the Quickbooks Ad campaign ‘Credit Where Credit’s Due’ timed around the 2019 Oscars.
Portal warfare evolved.
tyDi recently co-wrote the theme song for the 2019 Halo-meets-Portal arena combat video game ‘SPLITGATE’ with renowned composer Christopher Tin.
Making a difference.
tyDi both composed and produced the music for the 2019 MAKE-A-WISH 'World Wish Day' campaign and fulfilled the wish granted for leukemia survivor Kara Kuper who had always dreamed of singing in a professional recording studio!

Education
After Illingworth began his initial musical career playing both drums and piano in his teenage days, he went on to graduate from the prestigious Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in his native Australia, where he received a bachelor’s degree in music theory, and music technology. In 2015, the university awarded him the Griffith University Young Outstanding Alumnus of the Year for his contributions to the music industry.
